Component EMC Specification JLR-EMC-CS v1.0

This engineering specification addresses electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements for electrical and/or electronic components and subsystems for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).  These requirements have been developed to assure compliance with present and anticipated International regulations in addition to customer satisfaction regarding the EMC of vehicle systems.

JLR-EMC-CS v1.0 replaces specification EMC-CS-2010JLR

JLR-EMC-CS v1.0 must be used for all new and redesigned parts along with the latest Test Plan Template.

Superseded Component EMC Specification EMC-CS-2010JLR v1.2

EMC-CS-2010JLR v1.2 is superseded from 1 December 2013 and can only be used for programmes that have already been contracted.

MQ-7012 v1.3 supplement to EMC-CS-2010JLR v1.2

This supplement contains additional requirements that are to be implemented to existing components which were contracted to EMC-CS-2010JLR v1.2.  This applies to all components where testing has not yet been completed even though the component may not have been contracted to meet these additional requirements. This MQ-7012 is now incorporated in to JLR-EMC-CS.

Optional Test Method:

The use of EMI receivers with Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) capability for performing  emissions measurements (i.e. RE 310, CE 420, RE 320), that meet the requirements of CISPR 16-1-1 edition 3.2, amendment 1 are now permitted.

Test Fixture for RI 130 and RI 150:

This fixture facilitates improved testing regardless of the number of interface circuits of the product.  Click here   for details with respect to construction of this device.  Note that all recognized EMC labs who construct their own fixture must perform parametric measurements to verify the fixture is constructed correctly.   Although not required by Jaguar Land Rover, the fixture may be purchased commercially from Rohde and Schwarz (part number RSA TS-RI130-Fix).
