Approved EMC Test Laboratory Programme Overview

Component and subsystem EMC testing must be performed by EMC test laboratories that are "Approved" by Jaguar Land Rover and test data will not be accepted from any other laboratory.

For a Laboratory to be considered 'approved' to deliver test results to JLR then the following criteria will need to be met:

a)  The Lab must have accreditation to ISO 17025.

b)  The Lab must gain accreditation by an ILAC MRA** signatory body to perform testing to the following Intentional Standards:

ISO 11452-4  -  Bulk Current Injection.

ISO 11452-2  -  Radiated Immunity (Anechoic Chamber).

ISO 11452-9  -  Radiated Immunity from Portable Transmitters. (This is considered to be important for  testing to RI 115)

   ISO 7637-2   -   Transient Immunity.

   ISO 7637-3   -   Transient Immunity.

IEC CISPR 25 - Radiated Emissions.

   ISO 10605    -   Electrostatic Discharge.

c) A facility report using the template on the JLR EMC website must be provided. This must be a complete report for the current standard and not made up of supplements to previous reports. Any updates to the report shall be listed in the document history.

Note. **ILAC MRA International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangements is an international body of which the likes of UKAS will be signatories.

JLR require:

That Labs do not test without an approved Test Plan number or Management of Change number and signature from JLR EMC.

That the Labs supply the results in accordance to criteria stated in JLR-EMC-CP.

JLR reserves the right to arrange for follow-up correlation tests and/or on site visits to evaluate the test methods presented herein.  A laboratory which refuses such follow-up activities, or for which significant discrepancies are found is subject to having its recognition withdrawn.

Surrogate Data Approval Service

For a laboratory to be approved to provide a surrogate data analysis service, for reviewing data from test performed to non JLR test specifications, the Service Application Form  from the website must be submitted.
